DMU Dubai invites Expressions of Interest from experienced industry professionals and subject-matter experts to join its Adjunct Professional Pool – Health & Life Sciences (HLS), supporting the delivery of academically rigorous, industry-informed education.
Purpose of the Adjunct Professional Pool
The Adjunct Professional Pool enables DMU Dubai to engage qualified practitioners on a flexible, needs-based basis to contribute to teaching, assessment, mentoring, and curriculum enhancement activities.
This call is not linked to a specific vacancy. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee immediate teaching allocation. Engagements will be offered subject to academic need, regulatory approval, and candidate availability.
Disciplines of Interest
Expressions of interest are welcomed in areas including, but not limited to:
- Psychology
- Criminal Psychology
- Health and life sciences–related disciplines
- Applied behavioural sciences
Nature of Engagement
Adjunct Professionals may be invited to contribute in one or more of the following capacities:
- Delivery of guest lectures, seminars, or specialist teaching sessions
- Facilitation of workshops or masterclasses
- Student mentoring and academic guidance
- Assessment and evaluation of coursework or projects
- Contribution to curriculum design and programme enhancement
All engagements are arranged by mutual agreement and aligned with academic schedules, quality assurance standards, and University regulations.
Person Profile
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Significant and relevant professional experience within their discipline, ideally within the UK, UAE, or GCC region
- Strong interest in higher education, knowledge exchange, and student development
- Ability to communicate professional practice effectively within an academic environment
- A relevant postgraduate qualification and/or recognised professional standing (highly desirable)
- Alignment with the University’s academic values, quality standards, and commitment to inclusive education
- Availability to engage in teaching activities in Dubai, as required
Applicants with a Master’s or PhD qualification are encouraged to apply, and each application will be considered on its individual merits for adjunct appointments.
