The Role
We are seeking a HR Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources team. The role is key to ensuring a seamless employee experience and compliance with UAE labour and immigration laws, as well as university policies.
The successful candidate will manage a broad range of HR and payroll tasks, support employee benefits administration, maintain HR systems and records, provide HR reporting and analytics, and assist with projects to continuously improve HR services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Prepare and process monthly payroll in compliance with UAE Labour Law, including allowances, overtime, deductions, and final settlements.
- Coordinate with Finance on payroll processing and reporting.
- Process reimbursement claims and adjunct staff payroll based on approved timesheets.
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits queries professionally and timely.
- Prepare official HR letters, including salary certificates, experience letters, and consulate letters.
- Administer employee medical insurance, including enrolments, deletions, renewals, and claims.
- Manage annual ticket allowance and ensure documentation compliance before processing.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Support HRIS issues, upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
- Develop HR dashboards, metrics, and reports for management and compliance purposes.
- Provide data-driven insights to support HR initiatives in recruitment, retention, and engagement.
Employee & Administrative Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR queries and visa-related matters.
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and general HR administrative tasks.
- Support travel booking, expense reimbursements, and related HR processes.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects to enhance HR operations and processes.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support HR projects aimed at improving service efficiency and employee experience.
- Recommend opportunities for process improvements and contribute to policy updates.
- Demonstrate commitment to personal development and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (required).
- Experience in HR and payroll administration, including HR analytics and benefits management (required).
- Knowledge of UAE Labour Law, payroll processes, and employee benefits practices (required).
- Experience in Higher Education administration (desirable).
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Excel (advanced) (required).
