De Montfort University Dubai is seeking a creative and experienced Lecturer in Fashion Digital Marketing to join our School of Design Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of a forward-looking, industry-relevant curriculum that integrates fashion, digital marketing, and emerging technologies.
You will play a key role in teaching and mentoring students within undergraduate and postgraduate Fashion programmes, while contributing to curriculum development, student support, and collaborative learning experiences. You will also apply your professional expertise to enrich the academic environment and prepare students for successful careers in the global fashion industry.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops in Fashion Digital Marketing across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Lead modules and provide academic tutoring, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
  • Develop and enhance programme content, ensuring alignment with current industry trends and academic standards.
  • Supervise student projects and dissertations, supporting practical and research-based learning.
  • Contribute to research, scholarly activities, and professional practice within fashion, digital marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives, open days, and student showcases.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching quality and curriculum innovation.
 
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Fashion Marketing, Fashion Management, Fashion Business, Fashion Design Management, Fashion Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation, Digital Marketing, or a closely related discipline (Required).
  • All qualifications must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or be eligible for attestation upon offer of employment (Required).
  • Qualifications must be eligible for UAE Ministry of Education equivalency, or candidates must be willing to begin this process upon appointment.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in higher education in the UK or UK-aligned system.
  • Substantial professional experience in digital marketing within the fashion, luxury, beauty, accessory, or creative industries.
  • Proven ability to teach modules on social media strategy (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), e-commerce platforms, CRM and email marketing, content creation, and CMS tools.
  • Experience in curriculum design, student supervision, and assessment.
  • Awareness of emerging trends including AI, sustainability, metaverse, and influencer marketing.
Desirable:
  • Completed or near-completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional software proficiency (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
  • Higher Education Teaching Qualification (e.g., FHEA, PGCHE).
  • Research publications or professional outputs.
  • Established network in UAE or global fashion industry.
